Ingredients

  • 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk

  • 2 tbsp of sugar

  • 1 cup of frozen berries of your choice

  • 1 tbsp of chopped almonds

  • 1 tbsp of chopped cashew

  • 2 Tbsp of chopped apple

  • 2 tbsp of chopped banana

  • 2 tbsp of chopped dates

  • 2 tbsp custard powder and 3 tbsp of milk to make custard mixture

Directions

  1. To make Custard mixture: Mix 2 tbsps. of custard powder in 3 tbsps. of milk until you see no lumps.

  2. Place the sauce pan On medium high heat with 2 cups of milk and 2 tbsps. of sugar and bring it to a boil by stirring occasionally.

  3. Once the milk comes to a boil, pour the prepared custard mixture into the saucepan and cook for 2 minutes by continuously mixing it and the custard starts to thicken. Then remove from the heat and bring it to room temperature and let cool completely in the refrigerator minimum 2 hours.

  4. Then stew a cup of frozen berries on the stove or you can microwave for 2-3 minutes until its soft and cooked, remove it from the heat and let it cool down

  5. Toast ½ a cup of nuts of your choice like cashew, almonds, pecans, walnuts etc. and then chop them.

  6. Remove the seeds from soft dates and cut them into small pieces, as the dates are stuck to each other I like to separate them with your hands before adding them to custard.

  7. Chop up some bananas and Apples into small pieces.

  8. When I am ready to serve I will add fruits, dates and nuts to a glass followed by creamy custard then add 1 tbsp of stewed berries and garnish It with some chopped nuts.

Note

  1. Once the custard is cooked during the cool down period a thick layer on top, to prevent a skin from forming on top cover it with plastic wrap, making sure that the plastic touches the surface of the custard.

  2. Storage: The custard can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days

  3. This could be used for Parfait, cakes, pies, donuts or anything you want. It's so good!
